Bill And Ol' Betsy On The Farm

An Ode To The Road

Martha wanted a road on her farm.
so, on her dad,
she used her charm,
to help her build
a road on the farm.

 

Bill and Ol'Betsy
soon came to her aid,
cause Martha had promised
they'd be handsomely paid.

 

Came time to start working
on the road on the farm,
when Martha told Bill
not a twig could he harm!!!

 

"What?" Says Bill,
"How could this be?
I can't build a road
and not hit a tree!!"

 

Martha insisted
her way was the best,
though it would put Bill
and Ol' Betsy to test.

 

Work soon commenced
and Ol' Betsy and Bill,
started to work
right up the hill.

 

They came to a creek
which was all full of muck,
and much to Bill"s horror
Ol' Betsy got .............
